Mike Oldfield's Millennium Bell is the fourth, this time not tubular but millenary "bell" in the output of this English multi-instrumentalist. So far the fans of this artists have not been disappointed and it seems that good tradition has been sustained. Having the forthcoming millennium on his mind, Oldfield recorded eleven different tracks. Angelic choirs from Peace On Earth intermingle with pompous folk of Pacha Mama, Vangelis-like Santa Maria, Irish and a bit of a "techno" The Doge's Palace. This time the author revealed his talent as a composer, reached for different vocals and moods discreetly hiding his guitar in the background. Slightly bombastic, but successful entry into the new century.
